 ------- it was said that  the title was out of  Ludwig Rellstab's description  about  the  first movement  like " the boat  waves  on the  sparkling moonlight  Lucerne Lake of  Switzerland ."  It  was  dedicated to Giulietta Guicciardi , who was a Beethoven's student , Beethoven loved  her at first sight. This sonata is the product of Beethoven's  being immersed  in love. it  was  also  a  portrayal of  Beethoven's love to  Giulietta Guicciardi.
