沒有一本英文詞典能完美的描述Finished和 Complete這兩個英文單詞的區別！然而，最近在倫敦舉行的一次的語言大賽上，圭亞那選手Samsundar Balgobin卻因為他對Finished和Complete區別的精妙解答而贏得了比賽。
此次大賽有許多世界上最優秀的語言學者出席，Samsundar Balgobin被問到的最後一個問題是：「有人說Finish和Complete並無區別，請你用一種容易讓人理解的方式解釋complete與finish的區別」。他的回答如下：
When you marry the right woman, you are COMPLETE. （娶對老婆，你這一生就完整了。）
When you marry the wrong woman, you are FINISHED. （娶錯老婆，你這一生就完蛋了。）
And when the right one catches you with the wrong one, you are COMPLETELY FINISHED. （讓大老婆逮到你跟小三在一起，你就徹底地完蛋了。）
他的回答贏得了現場持續五分多鐘的熱烈掌聲，他還因此接到了女王在比賽後邀請他共同進餐的電話。他收到的獎品是一次環球旅行和一箱25年的埃爾多拉多朗姆酒。
No English dictionary can perfectly describe the difference between the two English words Finished and Complete!  However, at a recent language competition held in London, Guyana player Samsundar Balgobin won the competition because of his subtle answers to the difference between Finished and Complete.
 Many of the world’s best linguists attended the competition. The last question Samsundar Balgobin was asked was: "Some people say that there is no difference between Finish and Complete. Please explain the difference between complete and finish in an easy-to-understand way.  the difference".  His answer is as follows:
 When you marry the right woman, you are COMPLETE. (Marry the right woman, you are complete in this life.)
 When you marry the wrong woman, you are FINISHED. (Marry the wrong wife, you will die in this life.)
 And when the right one catches you with the wrong one, you are COMPLETELY FINISHED. (Let the big wife catch you with the small three, you are completely finished.)
 His answer won enthusiastic applause for more than five minutes, and he also received a call from the Queen to invite him to have a meal after the game.  The prize he received was a trip around the world and a box of 25-year-old Eldorado rum.
