I want to speak of the classical music in China

Speaking of classical music in China.

I noticed that since 2014, some phenomena in the Chinese classical music market has attracted the attention of the industry.

Phenomenon 1: Since 2014, the international first-class orchestras such as Vienna Philharmonic, London Philharmonic, Berlin National Orchestra, Mariinsky Orchestra, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, and St. Martin Chamber Orchestra have performed in China with a high number of densities. The high quality and wide influence have refreshed the record of domestic classical music performance. The numbers of classical music performances in Beijing and Shanghai are close to those of some largest classical music centers such as London, Berlin, Paris and New York.

Phenomenon 2: Classical music performances in the Chinese mainland market are placed in more important positions. Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai have become central areas, Hong Kong, Macao, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Zhuhai have formed sub-central areas, Wuhan, Hangzhou, Xi'an and Chengdu around these central areas are the other parts of it, the Taiwan region has a strong correlation with the Japanese market and is also an active classical music market.

Phenomenon 3: At the 18th Beijing International Music Festival in 2015, LeTV Music conducted a 4-screen full-end 1080P Ultra HD live broadcast on LeTV Super TV, Super Mobile, LeTV Video APP and LeTV. This is the first time that the domestic video platform has broadcast live on classical music. The first market test has added 1 million viewers to the festival. The classical music that was enshrined in the concert hall began to walk down the altar and become a popular art enjoyed by more users.

In foreign countries, the division of labor of classical music brokerage companies is very clear. An artist may sign a record company, a brokerage company, sometimes even pays for a PR company to do marketing stuff themselves.Now the Chinese brokerage firm has taken over the brokerage and PR duties already. 

Classical music tends to be called "elegant music" or "serious music." But who is willing to listen to seriousness in this era? In fact, classical music is not serious, it gives you a deep sense of pleasure at most.

However,I prefer to call classical music "classic music." The so-called classical music is a classic after a period of baptism and elimination, and finally left. Many musicians around me recognize this title. 

For classical musicians, their way of earning cash was originally by a record, because of the decline of the record, the important wa is live performance, this is irreplaceable.

It is worth thinking about whether there is a chance to combine the classical music and new technology . Because musicians are the most incapable of copying, classical music is also an industry with a relatively low marketization in the entire music industry.

"Internet + Classical Music" can make musicians live better. In the past, many musicians didn’t perform and they only did some records, but they could live well,  now it’s almost impossible, there’s no gain from not playing on stage.

In recent years, with the rapid economic growth and the transformation and upgrading of the consumption structure, classical music has received more attention than before in the fields of performance market, music education, knowledge payment, and copyright operation. It can be said that classical music has already ushered in its own "high light moment."

According to the data, since 2014, the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Mariinsky Orchestra, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the St. Martin Chamber Orchestra and other international front-line groups have performed in China with a large number, density and quality. The high level of influence and the wide range of influences have refreshed the record of classical music performances. In the past 2017, it was called the Chinese classical music 

the "big year."

Since this November, there have been many foreign musicians coming to China to perform. I think there will be more and more perfomances in China since then.
