German dance resembles Chinese Thousand-Hand Guanyin

In mid-October dancers performed at Friedrichstadt-Palace Theater in Berlin during a dress rehearsal of the new showThe Wyld. They stood behind each other, forming a very similar image of a famous Chinese grand stage performance, The Thousand-Hand Guanyin. Guanyin means Bodhisattva, a Chinese goddess.
Directed by French fashion designer Thierry Mugler and Roland Welke, the dance dramaThe Wyld cost 10 million euros and involves more than 100 cast and crew members, the highest amount spent on a production at the theater in the past 95 years. The worldpremiere was staged on Oct 23.
